I have a recommendation for a Joomla cache plg that working very well speeding up your site and JBD too.

I  have had many issues with Nginx especially because of its Incompatibility with .htaccess. The cache does not clear across all CDN servers at the same time if you have a website that is updated with new content all the time and visitors would see old versions of pages.

Instead, I use LiteSpeed Server, and the performance so 4x faster than Nginx because off ESI (Edge Side Includes): LiteSpeed supports ESI, which allows you to designate parts of your dynamic web page as non-cacheable or cacheable for different lengths of time. While NGINX can be made to support ESI, it doesn't have native support and requires a more complex configuration.
