This is with the latest version of JBD on J4.

After saving the 'General Settings' with SEARCH: 'Default order listings' --> 'by Popularity'

 

An error has occurred while processing your request.

1054 Unknown column 'viewCount' in 'order clause'

I wanted to see if I could reproduce this error on my end.

In my settings, the latest version of everything on J4, I do NOT have 'by Popularity"

Instead, on my version, I have Search > Default order listings > 'Most Popular'

I am able to save the 'Most Popular' setting without any problems.

Are you sure you are updating to the latest version?

Yes 'Most Popular'.

Did the Search Results page show an error after you switched?

 

And yes, we just bought the latest version (5.7.3) and are trying this in our test-environment.  It's not a big deal as we our default is set relevance which works.

 

 

 

 

I just retested.

After switching to 'Most Popular" there is no error message on the Search Results page.

However, I do not have any listings on the page, likely as my listings have not been rated.

  

It seems that there is a bug on popularity that will be addressed in the next release.
