where can I override list views (search views)?

Style 1, Style 2, Style 3, Style 4 ?

Which files?

It depends for what view are you overriding.

1. Search - {joomla}/components/com_jbusinessdirectory/views/search/

2. Catalog- {joomla}/components/com_jbusinessdirectory/views/catalog/

thanks for your reply.

In frontend-settings I have checked Style 2 for search result view and wanted to add there the categories - as they appear in the other search result views.

But none of the overrides-files you mentioned are responsible for this views. I found the solution at last in the file {joomla}/components/com_jbusinessdirectory/include/companies-list-view-intro.php, which is an included file of the search views.

But as this file is in the include directory, I cannot use Joomla override-system and have to edit it directly. So it will be overritten by the next update.

Or miss I anything? Is there another way to override this file?

In the search or catalog file, include the whole include file. You can copy/paste the content of the include file in the override file.
